What does it mean to be kind to ourselves? In this week’s episode, self-compassion expert Kristy Arbon guides us through practices that help us live better lives. I first discovered self-compassion a few months ago through Dr. Kristen Neff’s work (read her book Self-Compassion: The Proven Power of Being Kind to Yourself, seriously) and knew right away when I started Queerology that I wanted to get a self-compassion expert on the show. I know that it can seem like a cliche thing to say, but the concepts contained within this practice have changed my life.
