Bethany Cole is a mental health therapist who has worked primarily within and for the queer community. She has a relational focus, helping clients to integrate and process trauma in their stories as well as to skillfully manage and develop access to a broader range of their own emotions. She and her wife currently live in Washington.
In this episode, Bethany and I discuss what it looks like to do self-care while holding the tension of possessing both privileged and marginalized identities. A good primer for this episode is Episode 3 with Dr. Robin DiAngelo — if you haven’t listened to that episode yet, it might be good to listen to before listening to this episode.
